Competed in nine meets for his first season in uniform. Set a huge personal best in the discus throw at the Jim Bush Invitational by throwing 50.69m (166' 4") to finish third overall. Clutched it out at the Big West Conference Championships in the shot put by throwing another massive personal best of 15.85m (52' 0") to finish eighth overall, scoring for the first time at the conference meet. After not throwing past 15 meters all season, Harris had three throws past that mark with his farthest being secured in the third round to take the eighth and final scoring position.
Attended San Diego High School where he was a CIF State Meet Finalist in the shot put his senior year. Harris would ultimately qualify for the finals by executing his best throw of the year at 55' 3" and would end up finishing 11th in the final.
Parents are Lisa Marie Harris and George Harris III...Majoring in Political Science...Career goals are to either become an attorney or an economist...Athletic goals are to become an All-American and break the UC Santa Barbara school record in the shot put...Hobbies include playing video games, playing sports, and just hanging out with friends...Fun fact: really good at juggling bowling pins.
