Rogers and Dalhausser 2-for-2 on AVP Tour

Dallas, Texas - Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser remained perfect on the AVP Tour this season with a straight-set victory over Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal in the finals of the Dallas Open Saturday.

The duo won by scores of 21-14 and 21-16 and never trailed in either set.

Rogers and Dalhausser have won both events of the 2007 AVP season thus far, also topping Gibb and Rosenthal at the Miami Open to begin the year. The beach team has now won the last four AVP event titles dating back to 2006. Overall, Rogers and Dalhausser collected eight championship wins last season.

Rogers and Dalhausser advanced to the finals after topping Ryan Mariano and Larry Witt, 26-28, 21-18, and 15-12, in the semifinals. In winners bracket matches, they picked up victories over Gibb and Rosenthal (24-26, 21-12, 15-13), Anthony Medel and Fred Souza (22-20, 21-15), and Brad Keenan and John Mayer (23-21, 21-19).

Over the 12 games, Rogers totaled 75 kills, 61 digs, and hit .473. Dalhausser had 71 kills, 30 blocks, and 11 service aces. He hit .436.

The AVP Tour returns to action in Huntington Beach May 3-6.
