Tallying Two
Over half way through Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action, No. 4 UC Santa Barbara (15-7, 1-4) will play its final two away games of the 2012 season as they travel to Northern California to face No. 7 Pacific (11-7, 2-2) and No. 4 California (12-7, 3-3).   Saturday's contest will be held at the Tiger's Chris Kjeldsen Aquatics Complex, while Sunday's matchup will be played at the Golden Bear's Spieker Aquatics Complex - both set to begin at noon.

Advancing into week five of MPSF play, UCSB is currently tied for seventh in conference standings, while both Pacific and Cal are tied for fourth.

After falling 12-7 against top-ranked, undefeated USC (21-0, 6-0) in last Saturday's contest, the Gauchos remain in stride of picking up two wins this weekend as they meet both Pacific and Cal for the first time of the season.

Leading the Way
Continuing an explosive, yet consistent offensive showing, UCSB maintains its fifth-rank in MPSF scoring - averaging 12.59 goals per game with a total of 277 goals.  Reigning as the Gauchos' leading scorer, junior Evan Dellinger remains ranked 14th among MPSF's offensive leaders, posting a career-high 40 goals and 2.0 goals per game average.  Moving up to 16th, Matt Gronow has compiled an average of 1.86 goals per game, tallying 39 goals on the season.  Steadily stellar performances by the juniors make this their tenth consecutive week on the leader board of MPSF scorers.

Undoubtedly proving to be one of UCSB's most impact players, senior goalkeeper Myles Christian ties for second in the MPSF, averaging 12.0 saves per game, with a new career-high 192 saves.   Christian additionally advances to seventh among MPSF goalkeepers with an average of 8.44 goals allowed, totaling 135 goals on the season.   As a team, the Gauchos have allowed an average 7.85 goals per game to rank sixth of MPSF defenses.

Next in Line
Aiming to pick up momentum, this weekend will mark UCSB's final away games of the season before returning home to face Long Beach State (Nov. 17).  Hosted at UCSB's Campus pool, next Saturday's matchup against the 49ers will be the grand finale of MPSF regular conference play for seniors Christian and Brian Shoemaker
