Will be UCSB's marquee player this year. Has amazing game sense and is able to make a lot of things happen out of thin air. He is a tough match-up for opposing teams.
Had a breakout junior season culminating in Third Team All-American honors...Named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Second Team...Led the Gauchos in goals (64), assists (48), steals (52) and field blocks (14)...Was second on the team with 39 earned penalties or ejections...Scored in 29 of UCSB's 35 games including 19 multi-goal games, five hat tricks and four games with more than three goals...Scored a season-high six goals at Redlands (Sept. 9) on his way to a 21-goal weekend at the Inland Empire Tournament for which he earned MPSF Player of the Week honors...The same week he was named the Golden 1/ucsbgauchos.com Student-Athlete of the Week...Had a team-high 16-game scoring streak lasting from Sept. 9 thru Oct. 7...Scored four goals during the MPSF Tournament including two in the 13-11 win over UC Irvine (Nov. 25)...Finished the season as the seventh highest scorer in the MPSF and 17th in the nation with his 1.83 goals per game average...Currently tied for 18th amongst UCSB career scoring leaders with 101 goals scored in his three seasons with the Gauchos.
Scored 30 goals on the season...Tallied a team-high three goals against Cal (10/17) and three goals at the MPSF Tournament against Long Beach State (11/27).
Posted seven goals during his freshman season... Goals came against La Verne, UC San Diego, Whittier, UC Irvine, Cal and Pacific.
Named to First Team All-American at 2006 Men's Nationals in Honolulu while playing for the Santa Barbara Water Polo Foundation.
Played for Jason Lynch and Bill Barnett at Newport Harbor High School in the Seaview League...Named Seaview League MVP in 2002 and 2003...Second Team All-CIF in 2002 and 2003...Team Captain and MVP... High School Male Athlete of the Year in 2003...Helped lead Harbor to a CIF Championship in 2000...CIF quarterfinalist in 2002 and 2003...Also competed in swimming...Was a Principal's Honor Roll student.
Born April 12, 1985 in Laguna Beach, Calif....Son of Bob and Robin Sinclair...Majoring in history with a minor in athletic coaching at UCSB...Plans to become a history teacher and water polo coach...Lists Lance Armstrong and former UCSB assistant coach and current U.S. National Team member Kevin Witt as his personal and athletic heroes.
