UCSB Women's Baketball Team Announces Summer Camps

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara women's basketball team has announced dates for its upcoming summer camps. All camps are held on campus at the Thunderdome and are instructed by Head Coach Carlene Mitchell along with assistant coaches Natalie Jarrett and Heather Zurich.

From June 21-22, UCSB will host the Team Camp, which will provide instruction for both players and coaches. On-Court demonstrations will be led by Coach Mitchell to help coaches during the season, and teams will be guaranteed a minimum of four games against comparable high school and club teams, with all games officiated. On the first night of camp, a Coaches Social will be held to give coaches the opportunity to exchange ideas and tips in regards to the coaching world. The players will also have a social where they will have the chance to hang out and bond with their teammates and with UCSB players.

The Elite Camp will be held from August 16-17 and is geared toward players entering grades 8-12 that are looking to play at the collegiate level. Coach Mitchell will assist in instruction and speak to players regarding recruiting and academics. The camp will include UCSB practice drills, contests, games, clinics for posts and guards, film sessions with Coach Mitchell, and more. Coach Mitchell will make contact with every player during camp. Each camper will also receive a free camp t-shirt.
