Played for two seasons at Sacramento High under coach Michelle Massari…Was a McDonald’s All-American nominee, while ESPN graded her as an 89 overall player and also ranked her No. 38 among wing players, which is a UCSB recruit’s highest ranking since Melissa Zornig (30)…She played with fellow Gaucho Jasmine Ware for a season (2011-12)… Durr had to sat out her senior season with an knee injury…In her previous two seasons as a member of the varsity team, the Dragons won back-to-back Metro League and sectional championships…As a junior, she led her team to league and sectional championships with a trip to the CIF State playoffs…She was named to First Team All-Metro League and the Div. II Sectional Most Outstanding Player after averaging 18 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a block per game…That same season, she put up a strong performance against Carondelet (12/29/12) with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals...She also dropped 27 points and collected 13 rebounds and seven swipes against Fiorin (3/2/13)…During her sophomore campaign, Durr was named First Team All-City and All-Metro League Honorable Mention after recording 12 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and pair of blocks per game…That same season, she helped her team reach the NorCal semifinals…Durr was an honor roll student for all four years. 

Chaya Raquel Durr was born January 30, 1996 in Sacramento, Calif. to parents Charlene and Raphael…She has a younger brother named Cinco…She roots for the Sacramento Kings and the Chicago Bears…Her favorite professional athletes are Kevin Durant and Candice Parker…Love+Basketball is her favorite movie…She enjoys watching Big Brother and Bad Girls Club…She likes to read Jubilee and the works of Maya Angelou…She enjoys listening to Auguest Alsina…In her free time, she likes to shop and play sports…Durr also competed on Sacrmento High’s volleyball team where she was four-year varsity letter winner and was named the Metro League MVP in 2013…Was also recruited by Hawai’i, Utah, and San Diego…She is undecided on her major, but has aspirations to be a doctor.
