A four-year Big West all-conference player, Selena Ho was hired in the summer of 2009 to join the UCSB staff. After spending three seasons at both UC Irvine and the University of Oregon, Ho will be a big addition to the Gaucho staff and will help accentuate the team's guard play. While at Oregon from 2005-2008, Ho assisted in all aspects of organizing and administering off-campus evaluations, contacts, official visits and unofficial visits while overseeing the recruiting mail-out system and the organization of the recruiting list, which resulted the 31st Best Recruiting Class in 2007. Her coaching of the Ducks' guards resulted in two All-Pac-10 Freshmen Honorable Mention players and three all-conference performers. She also coached one Olympian, one WNBA guard, two Canadian National Team members and one New Zealand National Team member. She also helped coach six All-Pac-10 conference players. While at UC Irvine from 2002-2005, Ho was responsible for guard development, resulting in four different all-conference players in three seasons. Ho still ranks among one of the Pacific's best players. She is the Big West's career leader in 3-point field goals made as well as free throw shooting percentage and ranks third in Pacific history in points scored. A three-time team captain, Ho was twice honored as an All-Big West First Team pick and ranks fourth in school history in assists. In November of 2007 Ho was inducted into the City of Stockton Hall of Fame.
