Chisa Ononiwu averaged 17.5 points and shot 60% to help the UCSB women's basketball team pick up two non-league wins and get the Gauchos back over .500 this past week.
Against UC Davis, Ononiwu had a career-high 20 points as she led the Gauchos in scoring for the first time in her career. She also added five assists, four rebounds, and three steals. In a win over Utah Valley State, the transfer from Baylor totaled 15 points, six boards, four assists, and two steals.
UCSB, now 9-8, has won five straight and is over .500 for the first time since winning its season-opener on Nov. 10.
