Meagan Williams turned in a career effort with 28 points in a loss against Montana on Dec. 28 during the Lady Griz Holiday Classic in Missoula.
Williams, a sophomore guard, scored the career-high 28 points on 12-for-16 shooting from the floor. She was 4-for-6 from behind the three-point line. Williams also tied a career-high with eight rebounds. Her point and rebound totals were each game-highs. The Sacramento native added an assist and two steals in 26 minutes of play.
The 28 points was the most scored by any Gaucho this season.
In a win over Mississippi the next day, Williams had four points to go along with six boards, five of those offensive.
