DAVIS, Calif. - Ashley Kawasaki scored her second goal of the season after a UC Santa Barbara defender and goalkeeper Beth Ritter collided, allowing her a wide-open goal. The loss ended the Gauchos' chances for a Big West Tournament bid.

Kawasaki scored after a UCSB defender and Ritter collided, leaving the goal mouth wide-open. Kawasaki booted home the game-winner, ending the Gauchos' season.

After the collision, Ritter was forced to the sideline in the 29th minute. Jacq Caginia, who had not entered a match all season, came in and provided one save over the final 61:18 to keep the score at 1-0. Ritter, who replaced an injured Makenna Henry early in the year, had three saves before she was forced to the sideline.

UCSB was playing without seven injured starters. Still, the Gauchos were game. In the end, Santa Barbara outshot its opponent 10-9 overall and 5-3 in shots on-frame.

UCSB completes the season with an overall record of 9-9-1 and a league mark of 3-5. Davis finishes at 6-9-3 overall and also 3-5 in the Big West Conference.
