2003: Alex Richey returns for her senior season and if she can remain healthy, she should be a contributor at the forward position...2002: Suffered borderline stress fractures in both legs and that limited her availability in 2002...Richey played in just nine matches as a junior, starting one...She did not score a goal, but did assist on one...Attempted two shots...2001: Played in 16 matches as a sophomore, starting seven...Scored one goal on the season...Richey's lone goal came in a 3-1 victory at San Jose State...Attempted 11 shots on the year...2000: Richey played in 14 matches as a freshman, starting eight...As a freshman, she led the Gauchos in goals scored with four and in points with eight...She scored three of her four goals in the last three matches of the season, including a two-goal performance in a road win at Cal State Fullerton...Also scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 Big West victory over UC Irvine...Tallied her another game-winning goal in a 3-2 win at Sacramento State...Her eight four goals came on just eight shots.

Has been recognized by GOAL Magazine as an "Athlete of the Week"...Played under former UCSB women's coach Tad Bobak and former player Lisa Busch as a member of the Blues...Also recruited by Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton, Wyoming, UC Irvine, Utah and St. Mary's...Daughter of David and Diane Richey.
