The UCSB softball coaching staff has announced its 2012 summer camp dates. The program will be running multiple camps over the next three months, including the Advanced Overnight Summer Showcase and the Advanced Summer Showcases.
MeShalon Moore, who will join the Gaucho softball team this fall, was named the ESPNHS Cal-Hi Sports State Athlete of the Week on June 1 following a phenomenal stretch of games in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division I playoffs.
Freshman pitcher Shelby Wisdom garnered Big West Freshman Field Player of the Year honors and Brie Galicinao was named the 2012 Coach of the Year it was announced Wednesday by the league office. A total of seven Gauchos garnered All-Big West distinction, marking the most since the 2008 season.

The Gauchos were trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning during game two when a rainstorm came charging through Santa Barbara. The game will resume at 11 a.m. on Sunday, prior to the final contest of the three-game series.
