Named All-Big West Honorable Mention after setting a new conference and school record, stealing 39 bases on the season...Ended the year tenth in the nation, averaging 0.62 steals per game...Spent time at all three positions in the outfield, spending most of the season in right...Just one of three players to start all 63 games for the Gauchos...Finished second on the team hitting .294 for the season, improving her career average to .281, placing her ninth all-time at UCSB...Also led the Gauchos with 194 at-bats and a Big West sixth-best 32 runs scored, the fifth most run total ever at UCSB...Ended the season eighth in the Big West and fifth all-time at UCSB with 57 hits, the most of any returning player...Second on the team with eight sac bunts, 16 walks and a .366 on-base percentage...Paced the Gauchos in Big West play scoring 14 runs and collecting 22 hits by way of a .301 batting average...Set a UCSB record by stealing four bases in a single game against Southern Utah (2/8)...Needs just four stolen bases to set a new Santa Barbara record for most stolen bases in a career, having swiped 54 over the last two seasons...Had a team second-best 16 multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit performances against Colorado State (2/9) and Santa Clara (2/24)...Put together a nine game hit streak starting with Pacific (3/9) and running through USD (3/27)...She also had a streak of nine consecutive games scoring at least one run stretching from the game against Stanford (4/16) to one against Utah State (4/27)...Was UCSB's most successful hitter advancing runners, completing the task in .587% of her opportunities.

A terror on the base paths, Simien swiped 15 bases in 17 attempts to lead the Gauchos and place her second in the Big West...Ranked amongst UCSB's top five in eight offensive categories and the top three in five (Avg., R, H, SB, TB)...The teams third leading hitter, batting .259 with 28 hits (3rd) in 108 at bats (4th)...Only one other Gaucho crossed the plate more than the 17 she accrued in a team fourth best 125 plate appearances...Put together an eight game hit streak to go with her two three hit performances against UC Riverside and Cal State Northridge...Appeared in 46 games, the fourth highest total on the team, snagging 28 total bases.

High School
Prepped at Laguna Hills High School under head coach Cary Crouch...Helped lead the Hawks to three straight Seaview League championships...Had a career batting average of .429 and also was named first team all-league on three occasions...In her junior year, she earned All-CIF honors and was also the Seaview Leagues' Offensive MVP...Was also the captain of Laguna Hills' cross country team...She made Principal's Honor Roll all four years with a 3.5 GPA or higher each year.
