With the game at a 0-0 stalemate at the top of the fifth, Parenteau singled down the left line and then stole second. A throwing error by the Gauchos allowed Parenteau to come home and gave the Lady Ospreys the 1-0 lead. The Gauchos had an opportunity to score at the bottom of the same inning as Hansen singled to left field and then advanced on the next two outs, but North Florida closed out the inning with Hansen stranded at third.
