Seven UCSB Swimmers Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -
Seven UC Santa Barbara women swimmers garnered Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors it was announced Thursday morning by the conference.

Student-athletes are awarded by the conference if they have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, are at least a sophomore academically, are in their second year at UCSB, and competed in at least half of their team's contests this past season.

Seniors Laurel Ferguson, Kendall Neely, Miranda Schneider and Katie Reeves all garnered MPSF All-Academic accolades as did juniors Sasza Lohrey and Paige Bradley. Sophomore Anne Peanasky rounds out the group of honorees.

The Gauchos finished second at the MPSF Championships after winning 10 event titles, setting five meet records and breaking six school records.
