OMAHA, Neb. – UCSB graduate Katy Freeman advanced to the 100-meter breaststroke semifinals at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials after finishing 15th overall in Tuesday morning's preliminaries.
Freeman touched the wall in 1:09.25, which garnered her a spot in Tuesday evening's 16-swimmer semifinals. Tonight's competition will air on NBC, check your local listings for the time. For the complete broadcast schedule of this week's trials, click here.
Competing alongside the 2009 UCSB alum in the 100 breaststroke was current Gaucho Sophia Yamauchi, who placed 110th overall during the morning swim. She touched the wall in 1:12.95.
Garrett Thompson also competed today in the 200 freestyle. He finished in 1:53.70, which placed him 103rd overall.
