Six Gaucho Swimmers Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Six UC Santa Barbara women swimmers earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors it was announced Monday by the conference.
Student-athletes are awarded by the conference if they have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, are at least a sophomore academically and competed in at least half of their team's contests this past season.
Senior Paige Bradley and junior Anne Peanasky were each awarded for the second consecutive year, while a quartet of sophomores including Katie Records, Hope Curran, Natalie Garland and Charis Hoppe round out the honorees.
UCSB capped off the season with a fourth-place finish at the MPSF Championships and return nearly their full squad for next season. The Gauchos graduate three seniors in Bradley, Emma Hunt and Katie Tomkinson.
