UCSB Set to Take on Oregon State, FGCU & UCLA in Quad Meet at UCLA

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UCSB women's swimming and diving team will hit the road once again to take on Florida Gulf Coast University, Oregon State University, and host UCLA at 12pm in the Spieker Aquatics Center.

The Gauchos are coming off an impressive sweep of Cal Poly and Hawaii at a tri-meet in San Luis Obispo. Led by MPSF/ Turbo Female Athlete of the Week Andrea Ward, the Gauchos look to continue their early season success. Ward is coming off three individual victories and captain Sophia Yamauchi contributed two individual first place finishes.

Oregon State's swim team comes in having lost three consecutive duals to tough opponents California, Utah, and Stanford. The Beavers boast one of the top distance freestylers in the PAC-12, Sammy Harrison, who has six individual races won this year.

FGCU comes in off a loss to Florida State University (189-109). Swimmers to watch for the Eagles include Lani Cabrera and Evita Letter. Cabrera has four victories this year while Letter has taken home three first place breaststroke finishes.

The host, No. 14 Bruins come into the quad meet with momentum after defeating the University of San Diego (184.5-101.5) in their first dual meet. UCLA was led by senior Ting Quah and overall won 13 of the 14 races.
