UC Santa Barbara DI Swimming and Diving Announce 2017-2018 Incoming Freshman

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-- UC Santa Barbara Swimming and Diving has announced the addition of eight new women and three new men to their team, making for a promising season for the upcoming 2017-2018 year.

Incoming for the men are Kian Brouwer of (Venice, CA), Jolen Griffen (Oakland, CA), and Ethan Archer (Newport Coast, CA). For the women are Jacquelyn Harris (Huntington Beach, CA), Elena England (Agoura Hills, CA), Bryn McGowan (Walnut Creek, CA), Samantha Le (Westminster, CA), Alexa Fusari (Alamo, CA), Julee Keenan Rivers (Cardiff, CA), Micah Toetter (San Diego, CA), and Christina Campbell (La Canada, CA).

“We are very excited about our incoming group of men and women!” said head coach, Matt Macedo, “We feel like the three incoming men will immediately impact our conference team and also have immediate relay potential which is crucial at the conference championships. On the women’s side, we are graduating another strong group of women and the eight incoming student-athletes will have big shoes to fill, which we know they can do. We tried to find a balance of sprint and mid distance freestylers but also have the strokes and medleys covered. The incoming class is made up of strong student-athletes who will add to the program both in and out of the water. Go Gauchos!”
