Schwalb and May represent UCSB at NCAA

NCAA swimming wrapped up competition today for the women at the Minnesota Aquatic Center. It was a three day competition that started on March 8th and concluded today. Of the five Big West women to go to NCAA were two Gauchos, Anne Marie May and Senior captain Jen Schwalb represented UCSB.
Schwalb is a veteran of NCAA competition but it was Anne Marie May's first meet of this caliber. Schwalb swam the 100 fly and placed 45th with a time of 55.74. She also swam her best event, the 200 fly and placed 43rd with a 2:03.94. In the 200 IM Schwalb placed 48th with a time of 2:02.42.
May swam the 50 and 100 free. She placed 21st in the 50 with a time of 22.70 and 61st in the 100 free with a time of 50.83.
Next week the men will face the NCAA competition and compete at the Minnesota Aquatic Center for three days beginning on March 15, 2007
