UC Santa Barbara faces harsh defeat against Santa Clara 7-0

Despite winning yesterday's match versus San Francisco 4-3, UC Santa Barbara came down with a loss against No. 73 Santa Clara Monday, February 20. Santa Clara swept the game with a 7-0 win. This leaves the Gauchos with a 2-6 record in the season.  

Jordan Dockendorf and Kiersten Meehan provided the only victory for UCSB in the #1 doubles spot beating Santa Clara's Katie Le and Jessica Agra 8-6.  April Scatliffe and Natalia Lozano played a tough match against Kelly Lamble and Maggie McGeorge 8-5. Santa Clara swept the #3 doubles match 8-1.

All single matches were taken by Santa Clara. Erica Cano played a tough match against Jessica Agra in the #6 spot but, the match was taken by Agra.
