Lozano, Dockendorf, Novak Receive All-Big West Recognitiion
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The doubles team of Natalia Lozano and Jordan Dockendorf earned First Team All-Big West recognition while Lozano and Sofia Novak were selected second team and honorable mention, respectively, in singles the league announced Tuesday.
Lozano and Dockendorf, both seniors, teamed to go 9-8 overall and 7-5 in dual matches, all while playing No. 1. In 2011, as juniors, they were named Second Team All-Big West. For Lozano, it is her second straight second team all-league honor. As a sophomore she was named honorable mention.
Novak, also a senior, earned recognition all four of her seasons at UCSB. As a sophomore in 2010, she was named First Team All-Big West and she was selected honorable mention in each of her other three years.
