PULLMAN, Wash. - UC Santa Barbara flew to Spokane, Wash., on Thursday and then made the 120 mile drive to Pullman, Wash., to take on Idaho in a match at Washington State. The Gauchos arrived late for the scheduled 7:00 p.m. contest and then lost a 4-1 decision to the Vandals.

Freshman Tova Hausman gave UCSB its only point of the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Lauren Shrubb at No. 4 singles. Freshman Crina Bjornstrom lost a three-set match to Mriel Tinnirello, but the other two singles matches that were completed were both Vandal sweeps.
