What to know
The UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team opened their first two games red hot, outscoring their opponents 12-2. The Gauchos swept Cal State Bakersfield 7-0 and then topped UC Davis, 5-2. In their last match, the UCSB women cooled off, only taking two points against the University of Pacific and losing 5-2. The Gauchos will now host Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly and Hawai'i in the first three matches of a six match home stand.

Lion Tamer
The LMU women's tennis team dropped their first and only match of the season to the University of San Diego, 7-0. The Lions will look to turn it around this weekend as they stroll into Cal Poly before heading south to visit Santa Barbara.

Mustang Showdown
The Cal Poly women's tennis team has opened their season in almost the same fashion as Santa Barbara, taking their first two of three matches. The Mustangs outscored their first two opponents 13-1, most recently taking down Big West rival Cal State Northridge, 6-1. However, the Cal Poly women were halted in their tracks when they traveled to Stanford and were swept 7-0 by the Cardinals. The Mustangs will face LMU before trying their luck against Santa Barbara.

A Rainbow Rumble
The University of Hawaii women's tennis team has opened the season in a three game skid. The first loss came at the hands of Stanford, in which the Rainbow Wahine were crushed, 7-0. In the next two, the Hawaii women came a little closer, getting edged by both San Diego State and UC Davis, 4-3. The Rainbow Wahine will look for their first win of the season in Santa Barbara on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
