Qualified for NCAA Championships in Long Jump where she placed 42nd …Competed in Long Jump, Hammer Throw, and Triple Jump at Big West Championships where she recorded personal bests in Triple Jump (11.33m) and Hammer Throw (48.61). ..placed first at Cal Poly recording a personal best of  5.87m in Long Jump.
Gines set a personal best in the long jump and added the hammer throw to her repertoire...Improved her long jump score of 18-7.25 at the Big West Conference Championships...Farthest heave in the hammer throw measured 142-11 against Cal Poly Dual.

High School
Competed in the CMAC of the CIF-Central Section...Was All-League all four of her high school seasons, and All-CIF her senior year...Qualified for the California State Meet her senior year...Holds Sanger High School records in the 300m hurdles (46.42), 100m hurdles (15.65), long jump (18'5"), and was a member of the record-setting sprint medley team (4:23.11)...Was a four-year scholar athlete and in the top-25 of her class at graduation, and is a lifetime member of CSF.
