Captured a key second place finish at the Big West Challenge Cup in the 800m which established a new lifetime best of 2:13.67. Dipped under the 2:15 mark for the first time at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational with a 2:14.02 performance.

Hansen graduated from University High School where she competed in the 800m and 1600m under coach Jim McCarthy…Earned All-League all four years…League champion in the 1600m in 2012…League champion in 800m, 1600m and 3200m in 2009, 2010 and 2011…Personal best 1600m of 4:59.6 came enroute to winning the Western League Championships her senior year. Also competed in cross country and basketball.

Jessy Hansen was born June 3, 1994 in San Diego, Calif. to parents Dave and Kelly Hansen...Has one sibling named Kenley…Enjoys painting, knitting, reading, writing, rock climbing and bike riding…Most memorable athletic achievement was breaking the five minute barrier in the mile…Favorite aspect of college track and field is the team-oriented racing tactics and having girls to train with who are fast…Is a Pre-Biology major with hopes of becoming a marine biologist or marine ecology.
