Prior to the fall of her freshman year, Lee was accepted into the Chemical Engineering program at UCSB. She is a regent scholar. On the track, Lee was a consistent placer for the Trabuco Hills Mustangs in the high jump. She was a three-time medalist at the South Coast League Finals. As a senior she won the Northern Arizona USATF Indoor Meet with a leap of 5'3, which is the Trabuco Hills school record in the event. As a senior she also won the day section of the high jump at the Mt. Sac Relays. Her brother, Sean, recently set the national record with a leap of 6'6- he is 14 years old. Her father, Ron, was also an outstanding leaper, clearing over seven feet. "Sam" was voted as a Trabuco Hills team captain in both her junior and senior years. 

Parents are Mavis and Ron Lee...Has one sibling, Sean...Major is Chemical Engineering...Aspires to become a pediatrician...Enjoys drawing and painting...Lists traveling and going to concerts as favorite activities...Favorite book is The Shadow of The Wind...Personal heroes are her family and Olympic high jumper, Jamie Nieto...Lee was honored as a scholar athlete each year in high school.
