A big meet performer, three years in a row Emde has set a lifetime best in the high jump at the Big West Championship. Emde won the Big West title in 2015, leaping 5'10.5, qualifying for her consecutive NCAA First Round meets. She is tied for #4 All-Time in the event in UCSB history.
Emde recorded seven meets over 5'8 as a junior. She opened the year with a 5'8.75 leap at the Ed Jacoby Meet and recorded a 5'8 mark at the Run for the Dream meet, concluding a successful indoor campaign. She opened the outdoor season with a leap of 5'9.25, winning the Round-Up and tying her sophomore best. That started a string of four straight victories in the event- highlighted by a 5'8 win at the All-UC. Emde jumped to the highest collegiate finish at the Stanford Invite, inching her best up to 5'9.75. She then won the Big West Challenge Cup before taking second in the Cal Poly Dual. At the Big West Championships she cleared her first three bars before suffering a first attempt miss at 5'9.25 and 5'10.5. The second time would be a charm at each height as Emde cleared the later to earn her first Big West win.
Claimed four wins in her sophomore season. Emde opened the outdoor season with a 5'5 leap to take second at the Gaucho Round-Up. She bounced back with a pair of wins at the All-UC and the UC Riverside Dual with 5'4.25 efforts at each meet. She took third at the UC Riverside Spring Break Invite with a 5'6.5 leap, which would be an early preview of the Big West Championships as the top three here would repeat later in May. Emde set an early personal best at the Cal Nevada Championships, taking third with a 5'8 clearance. She came back with a win at the Big West Challenge, jumping 5'5. At the Cal Poly Dual she took the win for the second year in a row, jumping 5'7. She kept her momentum right into the Big West Championship where she took third, jumping a new personal best at 5'9.25. Her Big West leap qualified her for the NCAA First Round in Fayetteville. There she placed 20th with a 5'7.75 leap.
Had a personal best jump of 5'7 to take 5th place at the Big West Championships. Won the Cal Poly Dual meet with a jump of 5'5. Also won the All-Cal Challenge Cup and the Gaucho Round Up, both with jumps of 5'3.
Emde graduated from Oakridge High School where she was coached under Rob Fairly and Steve Scott in the Sac- Joaquin Division I CIF…Earned All-league at Delta River League Varsity Championships…Four time varsity athlete.
