Gode would completely redefine her standing in the conference with some breakout performances at the tail end of the season. Started things off modestly with a personal best in the hamer throw, hitting a mark of 155' 7" at the All-UC Challenge. Added another two feet with 157' 10" at the Big West Challenge Cup a month later. Clipped off another personal best, this time in the long jump, at the Bryan Clay Invitational, leaping up to 19' 1 1/5", good enough to put her at 9th on the all-time list. Then at the 2017 Oxy Invitational, a monstrous throw of 177' 3" would obliterate her old personal best by over 20 feet, placing 5th overall. Her incredible throw would merely be a foreshadowing of what was to come at she capped things off by taking a pair of 5th place finishes at the Big West Conference Championships, equalling her personal best in the long jump and setting again another personal best in the hammer throw at 181' 10", good enough to put her at 6th all-time.
Competed in nine meets for her sophomore season. Started off strong with personal bests in the long jump and hammer throw at the All-UC Championships with marks of 18' 0.5" and 142' 11". Garnered another personal best in the long jump a week later at the Big West Double Dual with a mark of 18' 5.25". Won the long jump at the Big West Challenge Cup, again chalking up another personal best with a jump of 18' 7". Finished off the season by scoring at the Big West Conference Championship for the first time by getting eighth place in the long jump.
Gode competed in several events during her freshman campaign for the Gauchos. She opened the year with a javelin toss of 97'4 at the Round-Up. Gode placed third at the All-UC meet in the long jump, leaping out to 17'3.5. She also ran 16.16 in the 100m hurdles at the All-UC. She recorded a season's best mark in the shot put of 35'1.25 at the UCR Spring Track Classic.
Gode holds the Del Oro High School record in the long jump with a mark of 17'9. As a senior, she captured long jump titles at the Sacramento Meet of Champions and at the Sierra Foothill League Finals. She placed fourth in the long jump at the San Joaquin Section Masters meet. Also competed on the 4 x 400m and 4 x 100m relays for the Golden Eagles. High School coach was Dustin Fee.
