Had a very good freshman season, setting personal bests in the 800m (2:13.67) and the 1500m (4:39.43)...Qualified for Conference in the 800m and placed sixth...Ran her personal best in the 800m at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational, finishing in fifth and topping her previous time by almost a second...Her best time of 2:13.67 is currently the ninth-fastest in school history...Won the 1500m at the Ben Brown Invitational, setting her personal best at 4:39.43...The week before, she won the 800m at the All-Cal Challenge with a time of 2:17.29...Was fifth among freshmen in the 800m at the Cal-Nevada meet.

Brown finished seventh at the CIF Southern Section Div. I Finals in the 1600m, as well as eighth in the 800m later that afternoon...At the South Coast League finals, Brown set a personal best mark at 1600m by cracking the 5:00 minute barrier, running away with a title in 4:58.25 and a new league record. She then doubled back to win the 800m title...Her 1600m time ranked her 21st in the state of California and was a Mission Viejo school record...As a high school junior, she ran her lifetime best at 3200m with a time of 11:18.89 at the South Coast League finals...Was All-League from 2003-2006 in both cross country and track, and was second-team all-CIF for cross country in 2003.
