    The UC Santa Barbara women's volleyball team closed its home schedule with a three-game loss to No. 8 Hawaii on Saturday night as five Gaucho seniors played their final matches at the Thunderdome.
  • UCSB to Host Senior Day, Home Finale Versus Hawai’i

    The Gauchos will be hosting their home finale this Saturday against No. 8 Hawai’i and will officially close the 2015 season with a visit to UC Irvine on Tuesday Nov. 24. The Gauchos have played the Rainbow Wahine to a pair of five set matches in the Thunderdome from the past two seasons, as Hawai’i came out on top both times. UCSB will also be celebrating Senior Day, as Ali Barbeau, Shauna Klein, Hanna Nielson, Britton Taylor, and Jaylen Villanueva will be playing in their final home match as Gauchos that night. With its visit to UC Irvine, the team will be looking to even the season series, as the Anteaters took the first match 3-1 earlier this month.

    UCSB will host a rematch with UC Davis on Friday, while they will match-up with UC Irvine for the first time on Saturday. The Aggies form one of the best offenses in the Big West with 13.19 kills per set and are currently fourth in the conference at 6-5. The Anteaters sit in the middle of the pack at 5-6 and have recorded the second-most blocks per set in league play with 2.09. Irvine has won three of its past four and most recently swept CSUN at home.
