SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB Athletics' weekly radio show, Talk'n Gauchos, will feature men's soccer head coach Tim Vom Steeg, men's soccer player Sam Garza and women's volleyball player Dana Vargas this upcoming Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The show airs live from the Beachside Café, located nearby UCSB at Goleta Beach. Fans who show up will have the opportunity to win UCSB tickets and Gaucho gear as well as receive food specials. Tickets to the 2010 College Cup, which will be played at UCSB's Meredith Field at Harder Stadium, will also be available to win.
Talk'n Gauchos airs on Tuesday nights from 6-7 p.m. on the Gauchos' new radio home, AM 1290 KZSB News-Press Radio. Gerry Fall, the voice of UCSB men's soccer, men's basketball and baseball, will host the show, which also streams live online at newspress.com.

Vom Steeg and his Gauchos will be preparing for their Big West opener on the road at Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Meanwhile, Vargas and the women's volleyball team will be preparing for a two-match homestand against Long Beach State on Friday, Oct. 1 and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, Oct. 2.
The Gaucho Fund, launched as part of the Dare to Be Great strategic plan, is UCSB Athletics' annual giving program to provide vital funding support for scholarships, academic success and leadership development for Gaucho student-athletes. The Gaucho Fund is the anchor to the Dare to Be Great campaign.
A donation to the Gaucho Fund - regardless of the sport it supports - will be part of the One Donation is Gold system. This allows donors to purchase priority/premium seating and parking at UCSB games across several sports in addition to other benefits.
