The Gauchos suffered a narrow, 7-6, loss to Occidental before rolling past Azusa Pacific, 15-3.

Gauchos Open at Home Friday, Hosts UCSB Winter InviteThe No. 17 ranked UC Santa Barbara women’s water polo open its 2012 home schedule this weekend. The games begin on Friday when the Gauchos play against No. 6 ranked Arizona State at noon and again at 3:30 pm against Concordia. The team will stay at Campus Pool for the remainder of the weekend when the Gauchos host the UCSB Winter Invite.
Ruth Milne Named Big West Player of the WeekUC Santa Barbara goalkeeper Ruth Milne broke the school's career saves record just two games into her junior season and had three double-digit save performances to claim the initial Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award for 2012.
