Coming Up for the Gauchos
The No. 16 Gauchos will return home for the first time three weeks when they face Harvard at 12 pm on Sunday at Campus Pool. They will play a double-header later that week, Wednesday at Campus Pool, when they face Iona at 12 pm, and No. 8 Bucknell (Division I/II) at 4 pm. UCSB will remain home for the next nine games of the season.

Weekend in Review
The last time out UCSB split a pair of games at the Posada Royale Invitational in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The Gauchos suffered a tough loss when they fell to No. 2 (Division III) Occidental by one goal, 7-6. UCSB roared back to life when they dominated Azusa Pacific later that day, 15-3.

On the Record
After being number 10 in the nation last week, the Gauchos came out of the weekend with a record of 11-10. They dropped a few spots, and are now ranked 16 in the College Water Polo Association. In the Big West, they remain third behind No. 8 UC Irvine and Pacific.

Freshman on Fire
Freshman Claryann Olofsson-Loo had quite the weekend for the Gauchos. In UCSB's second match against Azusa Pacific, she scored five of the goals for the Gauchos. This was only the second time this season that a Gaucho has scored more than four goals in one game. She was also the leading scorer for UCSB this weekend overall.

Shooting Stars
Following Olofsson-Loo, sophomore Molly Hafferkamp and junior Katie Zakula were the scoring leaders this past weekend. They each posted a total of three goals for the Gauchos. Hafferkamp's goal total rose to 22, and she is the third highest scorer on the team.

Doubling It Up
Freshmen Lauren Martin and Bernadette Bevins, and junior Kacey Creek all posted dual goals in at least one of the games this past weekend. In the game against Occidental, Martin scored two goals. Bevins and Creek both scored two in the game against Azusa, which alongside Olofsson-Loo was key to obtaining the victory.

What's Next for UCSB
The Gauchos are home again in two weeks when they play No. 2 Stanford (13-1) on Sunday, March 25, and No. 7 (Division I/II) Brown (7-6) on Monday March 26, 2012.
