This Week in Competition
No. 15 UC Santa Barbara (16-7, 1-0) will be at home this weekend for its match against No. 20 Pacific (15-7, 0-0) in Big West Conference action. Where the Gauchos Rank
The Big West action is starting to pick up as UCSB is second in the conference with its undefeated conference record. With a win against Pacific this weekend, the Gauchos would boost its conference record, pushing them into a tie for first with No. 8 Hawai'i (11-6, 2-0).
Young and Talented
Freshman Samantha Murphy leads the team in scoring as she has tallied an impressive total of 52 goals thus far in the season; giving her a 2.26 goals per game average. Fellow freshman, Jessie Porter is also showcasing her talent as she has posted 42 goals, which gives her a 1.83 goals per game average. Murphy ranks fourth among the Big West in scoring whereas Porter ranks eighth among the conference.

After this weekend's Big West showdown against No. 20 Pacific, the Gauchos will travel to Hawai'i to play a total of four games. The Gauchos will play against No. 8 Hawai'i, No. 2 Stanford, Sonoma State and also No. 15 UC San Diego during March 28-30.
