Time for the Big West Tournament
No. 16 UC Santa Barbara (19-13, 2-5) will open its Big West Tournament weekend against No. 8 San Diego State University (22-9, 5-2). The Gauchos claimed the sixth seed in the tournament while the Aztecs claimed the third seed for the tournament. This will be the third meeting this season between the two teams, as the Gauchos dropped the first match, but came out victorious the second time around.

Depending on the results of Friday's match, UCSB will either draw second seeded UC Irvine or seventh seeded UC Davis for Saturday's match of the tournament.

Offensive Leaders
Freshman Samantha Murphy is continuing to flash her brilliance in the pool as she leads the Gauchos with 71 goals so far this season. Murphy ranks third in the Big West in goal scoring total and goals per game, as she is averaging 2.16 goals per game. Fellow Freshman, Jessie Porter is continuing to impress as she has recorded 51 goals this season.

Leading the Defense
Senior goalkeeper, Ruth Milne has accumulated a total of 167 saves this season, giving her an average of 9.2 saves per game. She is continuing to establish herself as the greatest goalkeeper in Gaucho history as she is adding to her impressive careers saves total.

Up Ahead for Women's Water Polo
Depending on the performance of the Gauchos in the Big West Tournament, Santa Barbara will head to Harvard to compete at the NCAA Championships during May 10-12.
