SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The men split their tri-meet with Cal Poly and Hawaii by defeating Cal Poly, 247.5-119.5 and falling to Hawaii, 185-181. The men enjoyed success in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a 1st place finish by the team of Wade Allen, Ryan Hanni, Lucas Norman, and Alex Campbell.
The men fell short against Hawaii in the team competition, however the Gauchos received strong performances from Senior Ryan Hanni. Hanni won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 20.89. Hanni also took home 1st place in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 45.09 with teammates Wade Allen and Lucas Norman finishing 2nd and 3rd. The men's 200 yard backstroke winner Andy Castilleja clocked in at 2:03.76. Mickey Mowry was the 200 yard butterfly winner with a time of 1:49.18. Randy Aukhus finished first place in the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 3:59.48
Lester Wright placed second in the men's 1 meter diving with 320.6 points.
