SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara's Shaelan Murison posted her fourth Big West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award, the most for any Gaucho in a single season, the league announced Monday.

A senior, Murison assisted on the game-winning goal in Friday night's 3-2 victory over UC Riverside to secure entry into the Big West Tournament. On Sunday, in her home finale as a UCSB player against UC Irvine, she knocked in a goal and assisted on a second as the Gauchos earned a 2-2 tie.

"Shae has been tremendous for us this season and she ended the regular season strongly," said head coach Paul Stumpf. "She's had a special year and hopefully it will go another several games."

The Santa Clara-native finished the regular season with 17 goals and seven assists, good for a total of 41 points. Murison has scored at least one goal in 11 matches and has recorded at least one point in all but five contests this season.

Third-seeded UCSB will play Cal State Northridge in the semifinal round of the Big West Tournament at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at Cal State Fullerton. The host Titans will take-on Hawai'i in the other semifinal match. The winners of the contests will play for the league title and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., also at Cal State Fullerton.
