Born Emily Ward, October 24, 1998… Nicknamed “Em”… Majoring in Biology… Dreams of becoming an acoustical engineer… Outside of swimming, Emily enjoys surfing, being outside, playing piano, and working on art projects… Lists her pre-race pump up song as “Hanging On” the I See MONSTAS Remix by Ellie Goulding… Favorite power snack is French toast with peanut butter, bananas, and homemade tortillas… Her favorite aspect of college swimming is training weights and spending time with teammates in and out of the pool… Began swimming at age 5… If she could add event to each meet, it would be the 25 underwater… Emily has the goals of breaking the 200 free school record, to win an event at conference, achieve a NCAA "B" cut in the 100 and 200 free, and make the Olympic trials in the 200 free... Proudest achievement in your swimming career is achieving her high school’s record in the 400 freestyle relay.
