2018 Cross Country

Competed in three meets for her fourth season of cross. Set a season's best time of 23:44.6 for 6k at the Stanford Invitational. Season was cut short due to injury. 

2017-2018 Track 

Competed in seven meets for her third track season. Took second at the Big West Challenge for 3000m with a time of 10:18.82. Set a personal best for 5000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a time of 17:30.27. Finished the season with an 18th place finish in the 10000m at the Big West Conference Championships.

2017 Cross Country

Raced in five meets for her third cross season. Took at the 58th UC Riverside Invitational running 21:56.5. Ran 21:24.0 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational to take 90th place. Concluded her season at the Big West Conference Championships where she finished 46th in a time of 22:34.7. 

2016-2017 Track

Competed in eight meets for her second year on the track as a Gaucho. Achieved a personal best in the 1500m at the 39th Annual Aztec Invitational running 4:47.88. Lowered her 3000m Steeplechase best just a week later at the UCLA Legends Invite running 11:09.02. Finished 12th at the Big West Conference Championships in the 3000m Steeplechase, covering the distance in 11:33.73.  

2016 Cross Country

Competed in five meets for her sophomore campaign. Set a new personal best at the 6K distance with a time of 21:53.0 at the UC Riverside Invitational. Finished #5 for the team at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational in 22:00.5. 

2015-2016 Track

Raced eight times around the oval for UCSB. Set a 3000m best at the Big West Challenge of 10:17.20, 23 seconds faster than her first meet of the season. Placed 3rd at the Cal Poly Dual in a great first 3000m Steeplechase. 

2015 Cross Country

Competed in five meets in her debut cross country season for the Gauchos. Set her 6K PB at the Big West Conference Championships where she ran 22:03.7 to finish as the team's No. 8 runner. 

After a breakout senior year, Yanco caught the eye of the Gauchos with her performances for J Serra Catholic HS. She placed second at the Trinity League Championships in cross country and has a three mile best of 18:32. She opened her senior track campaign with a then lifetime best in the 1600m at 5:12.45. Since then she has lowered her time to 5:11.79 winning the dual against rival Santa Margarita and again at the Trinity League meet at 5:11.06. She recently placed ninth at the Orange County Championships in the 3200m with a best time of 11:12.26. Prep coach was Martin Dugard. 

Parents are James and Colleen...Has two siblings, Lindsay and Christy...UCSB Major is Environmental Studies...Hobbies include going to the beach, painting, reading, eating, and adventuring...Favorite Movie is The Wizard of Oz...Personal Hero is her Mother...Most Memorable Athletic Achievement was winning the 3,200m in track as a senior and sharing the CIF Finals team win with her teammates.
