Track and Field/Cross Country Year in Review
June 19, 2015Looking back on 2014-15, it was another historic and memorable year for Pete Dolan and his cross country and track and field programs. The UCSB men started the year by winning the Big West Cross Country Championship with the fifth lowest score in conference history. On the track, the Gauchos capped the year with three honorable mention All-Americans. Here is a look at the records and milestones the Gauchos reached this past year. -

Stephanie Rothstein Bruce, Former Gaucho All-American Signs Professional Deal with Oiselle
November 05, 2014Santa Barbara, Calif.- Former Big West Champion and two time All-America Stephanie Rothstein Bruce joins Oiselle as the newest addition to their professional running team. After a successful track and field career, Rothstein Bruce has turned her attention to the road where she has a marathon personal best of 2:29:35 which makes her the 24th fastest American Women in history. -
A Run For The Ages, Men Win Big West Title, Women Place Third
November 01, 2014Riverside, Calif. - Five Gaucho men broke into the top-ten at the Big West Cross Country Championships, helping UCSB win their first men's team title since 2001. Scoring a school record 21 points, the Gauchos put together a spectacular team performance which ties the fifth lowest Big West score in the 45 year history of the event. Dani Moreno placed fourth to lead the UCSB women. -

September 16, 2014UC Santa Barbara senior Daniella Moreno (Downey, Calif./Warren HS) notched Big West Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors after taking individual medalist honors at the UC Riverside Invitational for the second year in a row. -
Moreno wins UC Riverside Invitational to Lead UCSB Women to Second Place Team Finish, Men Third Overall in a Cross Regional Showdown
September 13, 2014UCSB Senior Dani Moreno took the win for the second year in a row at the UC Riverside Invitational. Maxine Goyette finished third in the 172 woman field. The UCSB men placed two in the top-ten en route to a third place team finish in the field of 29. -

August 30, 2014UC Santa Barbara senior Dani Moreno easily cruised to a first-place finish in the women's race at the annual Lagoon Run on Saturday, clocking a 17:21.91 over the 5k course to finish nearly 30 second ahead of teammate Maxine Goyette, but Cal Poly's depth was too much as the Mustangs won the Blue-Gree Rivalry dual meet, 25-34. -
