Senior Day
Sunday's matchup with the Highlanders also marks senior day where seven Gauchos will attend their final game at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. Before the game, Trevor Beer, Gianni Bloom, Mason Eng, Kyle Johnson, Broc Mortensen, Bryce Willits, and Jason Willow will be honored.
Magic Number is Two
This weekend the Gauchos have a chance to claim their second Big West Title in three seasons and effectively punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. The Gauchos need either two wins, or a win and a loss from Cal Poly to hoist the trophy once again. After not seeing a conference title since 1986, UCSB has emerged once again as one of the top teams in the Big West and on the west coast.
Head Coach Andrew Checketts would become the only coach Gaucho skipper in school history two win a second Big West Championship and it would give UCSB its sixth postseason trip in his tenure. It would be the fifth trip in seven seasons.
