FRESNO, Calif. (March 10, 2023) — UC Santa Barbara Softball (10-7) will play their final non-conference tournament of the season this weekend, taking part in Fresno State's Bulldog Classic on Saturday and Sunday.

The Gauchos come into the weekend after going 3-2 at their last tournament, Cal Baptist's Lancer Invitational, where they scored a pair of wins over Wagner, and a third against Howard. Daryn Siegel had a great weekend at the plate in Riverside, recording at least one RBI or run scored in each of UCSB's five games. That included her first career home run in the Gauchos' second meeting with Wagner.

UCSB was scheduled to get their weekend underway with a game against Maine on Friday, but rainy weather cancelled that matchup. The Gauchos will play the Black Bears on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. but only after taking on New Mexico State Saturday morning, at 9:30. UCSB will play Utah Tech to start their Sunday slate at noon, then take on the hosting Fresno State Bulldogs at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
