Santa Barbara, Calif. — The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis Team welcomed the No. 10 Harvard Crimson to the Arnhold Tennis Center on Tuesday morning. The Gauchos played through yet another incredibly tight set of singles matches at home, but narrowly fell to the Ivy League school, 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blue and Gold put up a strong start to the match, quickly clinching the doubles point with a pair of wins on courts two and three. Lucca Liu and Kai Brady defeated the No. 75-ranked doubles duo of Alan Yim and Ronan Jachuk with a 6-2 win in the second position. Luka Mrsic and Conrad Brown followed shortly, with a 6-3 victory to claim the first point of the match.

The Crimson fought back in singles, with Ronan Jachuk taking a 6-2, 6-2 win over Gianluca Brunkow. Luka Mrsic tied things off with his straight set win on court four. Wasting no time to put the lead back into the Gauchos hands was Pablo Masjuan, who defeated his Harvard Rival, No. 104 Daniel Milavsky, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3). UCSB needed one more point to clinch the match. Harvard pushed back, with Lucca Liu's opponent forcing a third set and ultimately picking up another point for the Crimson.

With the overall score at 3-3, the back-and-forth battle all came down to a third-set tiebreaker in the match between Kai Brady and Rohan Murali. Brady battled hard for a win in the first set, but ultimately fell 6-4, 1-6, 6-7 (2-7) to his opponent, resulting in Harvard taking the day's victory.
