Gauchos Down Eagles, 6-1

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Boston College, Thursday afternoon. After the Eagles clinched the doubles point, the Gauchos came back, taking every singles point to secure the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Starting off with doubles, the Eagles clinched the point with wins on courts three and two. No. 42-ranked Pablo Masjuan and Gianluca Brunkow were up on court one, 5-2, before play stopped.

The Gauchos didn't miss a beat to catch up in singles. Gianluca Brunkow evened the playing field 1-1 with straight-set victory in the second position. Shortly after, Brown, Brady, Masjuan, and Liu each followed suit, winning in straight sets to take a 5-1 lead. Luka Mrsic wrapped up the match with a nail biting competition, defeating his Eagles opponent 10-4 in a third set tiebreaker.
