SAN DIEGO - The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team will compete for their 16th Big West Championship after defeating the 4th seed, UC Davis in the semifinals 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gauchos did not mess around as they began their quest for a 16th Big West Championships. The doubles partnership of Kai Brady and Pablo Masjuan gave the Gauchos an early advantage with a 6-3 victory in the No. 1 position. Gianluca Brunkow and Lucca Liu then clinched the doubles point with another 6-3 win on court two. 

Up 1-0, the Gauchos and Aggies transitioned to singles action. The Aggies drew first blood in singles picking up a win on court two, but after that it was all Gauchos. Pablo Masjuan picked up a point for UC Santa Barbara on court one with a straight set victory. Lucca Liu got another straight-set victory for the Gauchos on court four. In the No. 5 position Kai Brady was able to grab a third singles point and fourth overall for the Gauchos to push them on to the Championship Match.
