SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara Athletics received a gift of $5 million from John '75 and Jody Arnhold, an investment that will establish and endow the Director of Athletics position.
 
"Uniquely woven into the fabric of campus life, athletics is committed to serving and connecting student-athletes as well as a deeply engaged Gaucho community," said Kelly Barsky, the newly-named John and Jody Arnhold Director of Athletics. "We are beyond thankful for the visionary leadership, friendship and philanthropic support of John and Jody Arnhold to further this mission both in the immediate and for many years to come. I am honored and appreciative to have the opportunity to hold the first endowed director of athletics position, and beyond grateful for the transformative support."
