PROVO, Utah – UC Santa Barbara men's and women's swim travel to Utah to take on the BYU Cougars before heading to Salt Lake City to face the Utes and UCLA Bruins in a duel meet. The Gauchos start in Provo on Friday before competing against the former Pac-12 members on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
The Gauchos saw success last week in a dual meet against UNLV and Cal Baptist. The men and women both outscored the Rebels and Lancers after competition.
The mixed relay teams swam for the first time this season and performed well – netting two victories. Bryden Thielenhaus's name popped up in three winning events. He took the 75 and 150-yard butterfly and assisted on the 400-yard freestyle relay.

SCOUTING THE FIELD
BYU's men's team is currently receiving votes in the CSCAA Top 25. Utah, Santa Barbara and the Cougars faced the UNLV Rebels this season, with all winning in convincing fashion against this common opponent.
UCLA's women's team is ranked 24 in the CSCAA Top 25. Both UC schools won against the UC San Diego Tritons earlier this year.
