Santa Barbara, Calif. — The No. 69 UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis Team continued its home dominance with a decisive 5-2 victory over No. 60 Santa Clara on Saturday afternoon at the Arnhold Tennis Center. After securing the doubles point, the Gauchos won four of six singles matches to improve to 7-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Santa Barbara started the match strong, earning the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Lucca Liu and Diogo Morais were first off the court with a commanding 6-2 win at No. 2. Shortly after, Conrad Brown and Charlie Underwood secured the doubles point with a 6-3 victory at No. 3. The No. 1 match went unfinished with UCSB leading 6-5.

In singles play, Charlie Underwood quickly doubled UCSB's lead with a dominant 6-1, 6-4 win on court five. Diogo Morais followed with a straight-set victory at No. 4, outlasting Luca Bluett 6-4, 7-5 to put UCSB ahead 3-0.

Lucca Liu delivered the clinching point for the Gauchos on court two. After dropping the first set, he stormed back to win 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, securing the overall victory for UCSB.

With the match decided, Santa Clara picked up a win at No. 1, where Alexander W Eriksson came from behind to defeat No. 29 Gianluca Brunkow in three sets. The teams then split the final two matches, with John Kim earning a super-tiebreak win at No. 6 before UCSB's Dominique Rolland closed out the day with a comeback three-set win at No. 3.
