UC Santa Barbara Athletics Announces 2025 Golden Eagle Award Winners

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The UC Santa Barbara Athletics Department held its annual Golden Eagle Scholar Athlete Awards Dinner on Tuesday, honoring the academic achievements of 20 outstanding Gaucho student-athletes.

The Golden Eagle Award honors the student-athlete from each program with the highest cumulative grade point average (3.20 minimum) and who consistently exhibits citizenship and integrity. All honorees are at least sophomores academically at UC Santa Barbara.

The annual event is made possible by the generous support of longtime civic leaders and Gaucho donors Peter and Gerd Jordano (Pacific Beverage). View the complete list of winners below. This year's Golden Eagle Ring winners, the student-athletes with the highest GPAs in the entire department — one male and one female — have their names in bold.
